Me, Moi, I.
I'm a (soon) 22 year old girl from Sweden, who's recently gotten into the wonderful hobby of BJDs.
I first found out about these dolls a few years ago (3 or 4 maybe?), but since it's a very expensive hobby, I tried my best to forget about it all. Failed on that one, didn't I? Anyway. My interest sparked up from time to time, but not "for real" until an internet (now also IRL ♥) friend of mine, Jen, suddenly announced that she had, lo and behold, ordered one for herself!
Because of this, I, of course, started thinking more seriously about getting one myself. At the same time, I realized I had quite a few things I needed to sell - nice timing, eh? So, I sold off some things and then I could actually afford buying a doll!
Browsing through the various sites of BJD companies made me feel slightly overwhelmed, haha, but in the end I settled for a DIM (Doll In Mind) Minimee. The Minimee service which DIM offers is a service where you send in reference pictures of whoever or whatever you'd like to have as a doll, and they sculpt it for you! That suited me rather well, as I had wanted a doll of Kyo from my favorite band Dir en grey (a japanese metal band) for quite some time since having found really beautiful pictures of one.
Kyo arrived only a few weeks ago as I'm writing this. He got home on the 28th of January 2009, two days before I went to London to attend a Dir en grey concert (which was, sadly, cancelled) and also to attend my very first dollmeet.
After that... I suppose I was pretty.. screwed.

And that's how I became a doll owner, haha.

Other than that, I'm currently in college, studying to become an illustrator and/or a comics artist. Interesting, fun, my dream come true.
I'm currently living on my own, which feels great, since I'm a bit of a lonewolf at times and need a lot of "me-time".
Being a student and having to afford dolls isn't something to recommend, but then again.. who cares? I save as much as I can without being a cheapskate on other things I enjoy and I've recently started taking art commissions, so I'll be fine.
That's.. pretty much all you'll get to know about me for the time being.
